Well... this picture has nothing special... just a portrait I made while testing light, for the january challenge at
The special thing aroung this picture is that I don't take shots of Milena for a while, and that I learned more about lighting, while playing around ^^'
I guess this one should be a loop lighting?
I liked this challenge very much so I'm gonna try to take more pictures for it... and maybe I'll try even after the challenge is over... I always liked playing with my lamps, since I mostly take indoor shots.
Hope you like it!

This is a great portrait, the position of her arms/hands adds much more than just a static shot of her face would, a little more personality in the gesture. Her gaze into the light does wonderful things for those green eyes of hers as well. And most importantly, given the challenge, the lighting is strong and I believe you've captured loop lighting quite well!
One thing I think you could work on is the composition of the photo -- she's not quite centered or off-centered, she's sort of in an awkward middle ground. The rule of thirds would help you out a lot here, perhaps if she was a little further to the right, leaving more black space on the left side, it would create more impact compositionally. I also think a warmer light would suit her wonderfully; it would bring out the gold in her hair and warm her skin up, just be careful not to go too warm and create a yellow overcast. 8Db Great job, keep up the good work!
